Here are the best hitters to play for that team which currently spends it's summers in the friendly confines of Wrigley Field.

The Chicago Cubs have a long and storied history that is laced with great teams, great players and great curses. The club was originally founded in 1870 by William Hulbert and other Chicago businessmen. They were originally named the White Stockings, and would later be re-named the Colts, and then the Orphans, before finally settling on the nickname "Cubs" in 1903.

What follows is a list of individual and team hitting records. "All-Time Records" date from 1870, the year of the club's inception. "Modern Records" date from the start of the 1901 season, which was the year that the American League began play, and the date which is commonly agreed upon as the start of the Modern Era.
