My five favorite moments of the 2007 baseball season.
1. Tom Glavine Wins Number 300. He may be the last pitcher to reach this plateau. It couldn't have happened to a better guy.
2. Jimmy Rollins Proves Prescient. In January, the shortstop proclaimed that his Phillies were the team to beat in the National League East. After enduring months of ridicule and a brutal start by the Phillies, the little man went out and played MVP-caliber baseball and led the Phillies to the division crown on the last day of the season.
3. Hank Disses Barry. Sure, Aaron recorded a nice video message for Bonds that was played after the new home run king passed Hamerin' Hank. It was fine, and it seemed to send a clear message from Hank: I don't like what you did, so I am not going out of my way to be there when you break my record, but I will send you this tape so I don;t look bitter.
4. Craig Biggio Gets Hit Number 3,000. I never apprecitaed this guy enough. He was one helluva good ballplayer.
5. Kevin Youkilis and His Gigantic Head. Can Red Sox fans really be that mad at Joba Chamberlain for allegedly throwing at Youk's tremendous melon? How could he miss?
